Site 56 - Brora Caravan Club Site

cc100

Brora Caravan site is approached down a narrow road and over an even narrower bridge, there is actually plenty of room particularly if it is approached square on, but when you are at the end of the journey and tired, it looks very narrow indeed. There was no-one in the office  (this site has a staff of two rather than the usual four) so we found ourselves a pitch and set up. When we eventually returned to the office to book in and pay the wardens Julie and Jon were very friendly and helpful.

The site itself is not large having 19 grass pitches and 33 hardstanding pitches the hardstanding pitches are large but if you pitch to the peg as directed on one or two you are very close to and look straight into the van on the other side of the narrow roadway.

As with all Caravan Club sites the toilets and shower blocks are kept spotlessly clean and when I went down at 9:30 this morning they were empty HARAAAA!! NO QUEUEING.

There is a golf course next door and judging by the number of vans with sets of golf clubs in the awning it is a major reason for coming here, but for those who don't like to spoil a good walk just a couple of hundred yards across the golf course is a beach that seems to go on forever in either direction. There are good walks and drives from the site and the town of Brora can be reached by walking around a mile and a half along the beach.
